Vision Statement

It is the hope and desire of the founders of the Alberta Bookmobile Service that bookmobile service becomes once more an integral part of the library mandate across the province. It is hoped that the government, politicians and public will support, through adequate funding, publicity and usage, the endeavour of bringing the bookmobile back into use to supply those without easy access to libraries and their services to the community.

Mission Statement

The future Alberta Bookmobile Services' mission statement is as follows:It is the mission of the Province of Alberta's Bookmobile Services to provide access to library and information materials to all those who want or require it, in a manner most convenient to the user.

This paper was originally written in June 2005 to fulfill course requirements for Facilities Planning (LIS 587), at the School of Library and Information Studies, University of Alberta. It was converted to HTML to fulfill the requirements of the Capping Exercise (LIS 600).
