About the Site

The paper was originally created in April 2005 by Aiyang Ma for LIS 505 - Research Methods for Library and Information Studies, taught by Dr. Lisa Given. It was converted to a Web document to fulfill the requirements of LIS 600 - Capping Exercise toward a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alberta.

The purpose of this proposal is to plan a research project to explore the information-seeking behaviors of Chinese students at Canadian academic libraries. In-depth qualitative interviews with 20 Chinese students at the University of Alberta will be conducted to collect the research data.
